Electric collars for dogs offer a better means of getting their attention! If your recall doesn’t work because your pup is too focused on that rabbit, for example, use the electric collar as a backup. This way, you can let your pup off-leash without worrying! Is your pup getting a little too close to the road? Are you worried about deadly traffic? Use your electric dog collar to enforce a recall!
● Encourage desirable behavior with additional praise and/or food rewards.
● Begin your training on a leash.
● Keep all dog training consistent and positive (enjoyable, upbeat).
● Be patient and understanding. Your dog may not catch on right away!
Remember, the association between what you want to happen and the stimulation from the collar must be there. Using your collar without that understanding could confuse your dog.
